Saugeen Connects Partnership Launch

In March of 2017 the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation and five municipalities; Brockton, Hanover, Minto, Wellington North and West Grey banded together in a partnership to create a project called Saugeen Connects. Our mission is to collaborate and positively impact area economic growth, support youth retention and development, encourage the advancement of women, support growth and retention of businesses; and to integrate efforts to leverage immigrant attraction to the area as residents, workers, entrepreneurs, business owners, operators and investors.
To support these efforts on June 26th, 2018 the partnership announced that they had signed a contract to engage the services of SuccessionMatching.com an online community for business buyers, sellers, and succession planning professionals. This service is designed to connect business and farm buyers and sellers through an online platform that securely exchanges buyer and seller prospectus. Successionmatching.com
has three privacy settings enabling you to control who sees your information.
“Many businesses in our community are looking to sell or retire however only 9% have succession plans and finding buyers for our local businesses can sometimes be a challenge “ said Rose Austin General Manager of the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation. “We are excited about this opportunity and the potential it holds for us to attract outside investment into our community.” In order to access the on-line platform prospective sellers will need to acquire a “coupon code”, which has been purchased by Saugeen Connects and which can be obtained free of charge by eligible users.
